Unconditional Love

“Unconditional Love” captures the sacred stillness of reunion a mother holding her child after separation, not in triumph, but in peace.
Her eyes are closed, her arms wrapped around the child in front of her, as though holding both the present and the past at once. The little one’s sadness lingers like memory, but within the mother’s gentle grasp there is forgiveness, warmth, and quiet strength.
Inspired by a moment witnessed on a tram in Bergen, this painting also reflects the artist’s own longing the hope of one day embracing his mother again.
Through soft light and delicate form, “Unconditional Love” becomes a universal language of care the love that asks for nothing, that heals through presence, that endures without words.
